Volvo Xc90 2025 Liftgate Problems

Volvo Xc90 2025 Liftgate Problems. So removed the handle mechanism and sure enough the rod is rusted beyond. Today i went to close the tailgate using the button on the tailgate and nothing happened.

My chief issue is the power liftgate exterior handle has stopped working, and the liftgate falls once it has opened. Per volvo it is mandatory to replace both sides at the same time.
